Dr.R. Chandrasekharan- BAM, MD started his career as a Lecturer at Government Ayurveda college, Trivandrum in 1972. He was recognised as Acharya (MA-Vedanta in Sanskrit) in the year 1994 conducted by Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
He offered his thesis guidance for more than 150 groups. He conducted Research in the field of Urvi Marmabhigadha Vikaram (Volkman's Ischamic Contracture) a type of paralysis, different types of oil massages etc.
He rendered his valuable service in the period of 1973-97 and retired from the service in 1997 as director & Professor of PG Centre, Govt. Ayurveda college, Trivandrum. His areas of specialisation include Salya,Arthritis,Fracture Management,Back Pain,Joints Pain, Rheumatic Complaints,Marma Psoriasis & other skin diseases and Marmabhigadha Vikaram.
