Nasya : Ayurveda believes nasal passage is the best way to treat disorders of above neck organs. Nasya involves administration of medicated oil through the nose in head low position.
Shirodhara : The patient is advised to lie on a special wooden table with his neck and head comfortably placed. Then a continuous flow of the prescribed liquid medicine is gently poured on his forehead from a specific height through a specially devised apparatus called Dhara Chatti for a period of forty five minutes. This is called Shirodhara because it is applied on forehead.
Tharpanam : Ayurvedic tharpanam or tarpan means retention of herbal medicines over the eyes for up to 30 minutes or more, for treating strain to the eyes, improve eye sight, strengthen the optic nerve and to prevent different eye diseases.
