Constipation / Koshtabadta : When intestine function is normal but rectum and anus fails to expel faecal matter is called constipation.It is a common disorder. Diarrhoea / Atishar: Diarrhoea commonly known as 'loose motion', it is one of the commonest diseases, particularly in India.In ayurveda it is known as Atishar. It is an infection caused by an organism. Causes by Irregularity of diet, Intake of indigestible food, Emotional factors like worry Mouth ulcers / Stomatities: In Ayurveda Stomatities is known as Mukhapaka. Intestnial worms / Krimi: Worms are present in people of all age groups but they are mostly effects the children. Worms can live within the human body, worms ganerally lives in digestive canal, especially in the intestine, stomach and rectum. They obtain their neutrition from intestine. They are host in human body and called endoparasites Symptoms: Anaemia and pale face, Acute irritation at the anus, Abdoman may be distended or pain with nausea Bad breath and saliva secretion at sleeping time Round worms causes cough,vomiting nausea etc Urticaria,feverand bronchitis also occur in such patients
Piles / Arsh: When patient feels itching or pain in anus, It is known as the symptom of piles. In ayurveda it is known as Arsh. Constipation,sitting on hard seats, lack of exercise are responsible for piles. REGIMENS: Nagakesara is useful for piles, Goat milk very useful for this condition, Avoid sitting on hard seats,it is harmful for patient, Jimikand,papaya,old rice,wheat,kulathi,amala gives relief.
Gastritis / Acidity: Gastritis in ayurveda is known as Urdhavaga Amlpitta. The most frequent cause is irregular food habits, such as overeating or excessive intake of tea,coffee, alchohol,spicy and fried food etc. Acidity is the excess secretion of gastric juices from gastric glands of the stomach.Patient feels epigastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting, heart burn, haematemesis and malena. REGIMENS: Avoid stress and irregular food habits, Avoid pickle, spicy and fried food, Amla powder 3 gm twice a day with water, coconut water 50 ml thrice a day very useful, Avoid excessive intake of caffeine,alcohol,smoking
