Kerala Ayurveda Limited has a World-class Manufacturing Facility at Aluva, near Kochi. The Manufacturing Plant is in close proximity to the International Airport, Kochi. This Strategic location facilities easy procurement and timely utilization of fresh herbs.

Our Manufacturing Plant is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified, and has all modern manufacturing facilities to produce all types of Ayurvedic presentations - both Classical and Proprietary, most hygienically and in strict adherence to the prescribed norms.

This, coupled with the meticulous selection of raw materials provides Genuineness and Efficacy to all products of KAL. Our Manufacturing Division now produces over 350 Classical & Proprietary Ayurvedic medicines and products.

Ayurveda Acharya Vaidyan KGK Panicker (Kollasseril Govindan Kunju Panicker), a doyen in the field of Ayurveda, founded Kerala Ayurveda in 1945 at Aluva, Kochi. He started his Mission with a Philosophy to promote the richness of Ayurveda Tradition by providing Quality Products and Services to Mankind.

KGK Panicker hailed from Kayamkulam near Alleppy. His lineage had the the rich tradition of his uncle Govindan Vaidyan. It was his uncle Govindan who inspired him to study Sanskrit and Ayurveda. Panicker studied Sanskrit form a famous Gurukula named Vaarnapally near Kayamkulam.

He then completed his Ayurveda studies in an Ayurveda School in Nangyarkulangara and was certified a Vaidyasastri - a title given to people who complete their studies in Sanskrit and Ayurveda. Vaidyan Panicker was popularly known in Central Kerala as Sastrivaidyan.

He was drawn to move to Aluva as his favourite Sanskrit teacher Acharya PR Sastri lived there. PR Sastri’s father was also a renowned Acharya of Ayurveda and KGK Panicker practiced under him for a few years.

KGK Panicker then established his own Vaidyasala called Kerala Pharmacy in 1945 on the banks of Periyar River that originates from Sahya ranges, known for its abundance of Medicinal Herbs. This helped him produce quality Ayurveda Medicine using the Fresh and Rare Herbs that were readily available in these areas. He was extremely focused on Quality and never compromised on his combinations despite the lack of any Herbs. He got the Trademark registration from Calcutta in 1955.

He also introduced the Concept of a Nursing Home (In-Patient Facility) for Panchakarma in Central Kerala at Aluva. The Nursing Home that was located behind his house comprised of a Ten-room Facility. He was an Expert in Panchakarma and became extremely famous in this field and other Kerala Therapies. Due to his Expertise in Panchakarma, he was also selected as an External Examiner for Panchakarma by various Ayurveda Schools in Kerala.

Specialities

Pizhichil : This therapy protects the body from illnesses and builds up immunity for a healthy life. It is very useful for rheumatic diseases, arthritis, paralysis, sexual weakness, neurological disorders, blood pressure, nervous weakness and helps to arrest the aging process.

Njavarakizhi :.This procedure is highly rejuvenating, nourishing and prepares the individual to bear the stresses and strains of a busy lifestyle. It enhances physical consistency, strengthens the nervous system and improves the overall appearance of the skin. This is a strengthening fomentation employed in neurological disorders, rheumatism, arthritis and malnutrition of limbs.

Elakizhi : This therapy begins with the application of suitable medicated oil to the entire body. This therapy is effective for various kinds of arthritis, Spondylosis, back pain, sports injuries and for all other soft tissue inflammations especially join pains.

Udwarthanam : This is a typical deep and dry massage using herbal powders. This massage stimulates hair follicles and subcutaneous fat tissue to break down subcutaneous fat storage. The dry powder massage reduces blood cholesterol, obesity, skin problems, imparts mobility to the joints, strengthens muscles and refreshes the body. The most promising effect is the slimming of the body.
