TRIVENI NURSING HOME encompasses five hospitals, a manufacturing center for genuine Ayurvedic medicines, an international research foundation and a resource and training center that is revolutionizing hundreds of aspiring graduates across the globe. It is very much felt to integrate this treatment with the facilities provided by the modern system of medicine. Hence an X-ray unit and fully fledged clinical Laboratory facilities were deemed necessary.This only boosted our diagnostic ability. Since our hospital mainly dealt with orthopaedic and disabled patients we have 24 hours ambulance facility where the deserved patients can make use of it . A modern physiotherapy centre is also functioning under the same roof as this also boosted the rehabilitation techniques followed here.

An inpatient wing which has 20 beds for men and 20 beds for women, is provided. In addition there are 20 residential rooms which are provided to desirous individual patients at a reasonable rate.The medicines prescribed are also provided from the Dispensary working at the Nursing home. An x-ray unit and Laboratory facilities are also available 24 hours. Our casualty department works round the clock.

The physiotherapy clinic offers good physio care in all ortho,neuro conditions,. This physiotherapy center is equipped with all advanced physio equipments.Here we also offers excellent home care and house visits for all conditions. Modern diagnostics : It is very much felt to integrate this treatment with the facilities provided by the modern system of medicine. Hence an X-ray unit and full fledged clinical Laboratory facilities were deemed necessary. This only boosted our diagnostic ability. There is a professionally managed clinical laboratory here. Here we handle around 100 samples.

In keeping with our conviction that thorough research is essential for the progress of science and our strive to perfection, we have formed an institute called Triveni Research Institute of Ayurveda studies to conduct scientific researches in the field of Ayurveda.

All this necessitated additional space requirements for which the nursing home was shifted to a new six floor building at Vanchiyoor, opposite to the Collectorate. This hospital is an approved centre for training Internship and Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth has approved Dr Suresh Kumar as one of their gurus enabling students to get training under him.

Dr Suresh who heads the hospital at present holds a PhD in Marma Chikitsa and is a specialist in Marma Chikitsa. He has treated more than a lakh of patients and cured them of their bodily problems with the right diagnosis and treatment methods though marma chikitsa . it is a decade now and his effort was recognized by various social community where he was awarded the following awards.

MARMA TREATMENT : It takes supreme importance to know the marmas of the body and extend the right treatment for a disease that afflicts a person. Triveni is one of the rare marma chikitsa centres in Kerala and very well known for the expert doctors in the field ofand their wisdom in the branch.

Vamana : Excretion of Doshas through the mouth by administration f emetic drugs is called vamana. This is the best therapy for vitiation of Kapha.Virechana : Excretion of Doshas through the anus by the administration of laxative s and purgatives is Virechana. This is a specific process for elimination of Pitta-dosha.

Vasti : This is a therapy of utmost importance and should be done carefully with all necessary precautions. This is the best treatment for vitiation of vata. 4.Nasya: It is the process of administration of medicines through the nostrils and is specifically indicated for treatment of the diseases of the head.

Rakta-mokshana : The process of taking out blood from the body is known as Rektamoksha or blood letting. This technique is adopted in instances of impure blood for managing diseases caused by Rakta and Pitta.

Pinda-sweda:Herein, the whole body or any specific part thereof is made to perspire by the application of medicinal puddings externally in the form of bolus tied up in a muslin bag. The method has been prevalent in Kerala from tome immemorial and is still in practice.

The body must be well anointed before it is subjected to heat and diaphoresis. Generally a course of this treatment lasts for 7 days, 14 days or 21 days. Great restrictions are to be observed during these days of actual treatment as well as for an equal number of f days thereafter in respect of diet as well as physical and mental exertion of every type.

Siro-vasti:In this process imedicated oil is allowed to remain o n the head for a prescribed period with the help of a cap-like contraption without top. The prescribed medicated oil is warmed to body temperature and slowly poured into o this cap with the patient sitting on a stool of knee height.
