Ayurveda, the knowledge of life and longevity, the origin of which can be traced to the Vedas is perhaps the oldest existing body of knowledge on the healing process. This holistic and natural healing system was developed, according to mythological resources, by highly evolved spiritual beings who not only addressed the body and mind but also the human spirit and consciousness. There are three great authors of the ancient ayurvedic writings, namely Charaka, Sushruta and Vagbhata.

The word Ayurveda is translated from Sanskrit as 'ayus', meaning "life", and 'veda', meaning "related to knowledge" or "science". This knowledge system which is in perfect harmony with the Indian thought process does not aim at the mere cure of the disease syndrome, instead it harmonises the living body and restores it to its natural state of equilibrium. In 1982 Ayurveda was approved by WHO as the effective medicine. But Ayurveda goes far beyond being a mere system of medicine. It is a way of life found specifically for the upliftment of mankind.

The original Ayurveda treatises give a comprehensive description of how to live one's life in tune with nature, free of disease. Ayurveda gives a graphic account of how the living body is a microcosm of a macrocosm that is nature. All elements that exist in the later are reflected in the living body also. This close relation with nature is the foundation on which all the ayurvedic theories, principles, classifications, categories etc. are built. According to Ayurveda every human body, its psysical as well as mental components, is maintained by three "life-energy principles" called doshas in Sanskrit. From five elements present in the World (air, space, fire, water and earth) two elements always form the basis of one of the three doshas. Ayurveda teaches that health is maintained by the balance of the three doshas (roughly translated also as the functional mechanisms) known as 'vata' (air & space, 'wind'), 'pitta' (fire & water, 'bile') and 'kapha' (water & earth, 'phelgm').

Every human being encompasses all the three doshas in a specific proportion formed already during the embryonic stage of life, but usually one or two doshas prevail and are manifest in his or her body structure (stature, face shape etc.), body functions (immunity, metabolism, etc.), mental abilities (intellect, sharpness of mind and senses) and character (attitude towards one´s own life, emotional aspects of behaviour, etc.). In general vata is associated with the energy of movement, pitta with the metabolism and kapha with the body structure and matter.

A proper ayurvedic diagnosis of the main functional mechanism of a patient is the basis for any other further treatment, including a special diet, oils and herbs used during massages, relaxation and exercise recommendation etc. This holistic approach of a human being is unique in Ayurveda. It is known that in ancient Greece the physicians like Hippocrates and Galen found a system of division of bodily fluids and corresponding temperaments known until today as sanguine, melancholic, choleric and phlegmatic.

Ayushman Ayurvedic Treatment & Rejuvenation Centre was established to provide classical ayurvedic treatment in an elegant atmosphere. The ayurvedic centre has well established ayurvedic phycisians, trained therapists, and the traditional treatment centre with authentic ayurvedic treatment facilities. The hospital has 27 rooms as a whole with 21 deluxe rooms (double or twin) and 6 VIP rooms (triple or family room). All the rooms are provided with the LCD TV sets and internet facilities. The Ayushman centre provides treatment for health problems like joints pain, rheumatism, arthritis, diabetes, spondylitis, asthma, neurological disorders, skin disease, heart disease, migraine and paralysis. After the personal examination of the visitor by our ayurveda physician, and diagnosis, the course of treatment is recommended. According to the convenience of the visitor, the treatment packages are offered.Weekend packages, 21 days packages or months relaxing or curing ailments or just rejuvenation are available for individuals as well as families.
