Additional Information

Qi (chi) is a Chinese term used to refer to all types of energy. Qi is the vital force behind all things in the universe. It is the medium between and within all material substances. We are all immersed in it. Qi is the foundation of our life. Qigong is most often referred to as a set of exercises which are a combination of movement, breathing and mindwork – capable of improving health, preventing illness, strengthening the body and unlocking one’s potential abilities.

Literally it means energy work and energy skill. Qigong started when there were no religions, with a written history of over 3,000 years. The ancients developed physical exercises by observing the behaviour of animals. By being close to nature and by tuning into their own bodies they observed the natural patterns and found techniques that produced beneficial results. Many schools and styles evolved over the centuries, having been influenced by Taoism, Buddhism, Martial Arts and Chinese Medicine.

On Self-Healing,According to Traditional Chinese Medicine – the causes of illnesses are due to an energetic imbalance within the body. We therefore need to balance and strengthen the Qi in the body through gentle exercises.

Our body has a complex system of energy pathways, called meridians or channels. These connect to the organs internally and correspond to acupuncture points that are locations on the surface of the skin and which connect to the channels.

When the energy stagnates in a particular part of the body, blood circulation is not sufficient. This causes pain and other discomforts, often leading to chronic conditions. This is known as a Qi /energy blockage.

One of the main principles is that we all are able to heal ourselves. Through meditation, breathing techniques and exercises we can achieve a state of relaxed, alert calmness called the Qigong State, whereby physical and mental relaxation is achieved. When this is done, we can learn how to direct energy to areas of weakness or low energy in our bodies by developing energy awareness – and this is how we heal ourselves.

Daily practice is an investment in your health. The more effort – the better the results! Contact Elvira on 0412 166 166 to find out when the next Qigong Program is being held.
Then join us in learning Qigong exercise and meditation, wisdom of Chinese health culture and make all these tools yours, forever.

This program is designed with the goal of improving personal health, wellbeing and happiness levels. We are going to work on strengthening our immunity, on improving energy and blood circulation and accumulating energy in our bodies. We will learn how to counteract effects of stress and promote peace and happiness in our lives by focussing on optimum health advice from Chinese health culture.

Specialities

Low energies of laser light affect the natural and basic mechanisms of our cells and restore their impaired function, thereby triggering a cascade of positive effects. Some of these effects lead to improved wound healing, reduction of oedema, healing of neurological injuries, increased microcirculation and pain relief, just to mention a few of the indications reported in the scientific literature.

How Laser Therapy Works,Laser therapy energizes living systems. One important way in which laser therapy adds energy is through photon absorption by mitochondria. These tiny organelles which have been called the “powerhouses” of the cell, are found in most plants and animals. Mitochondria are able to absorb laser light which then activates a series of reactions to increase and store more cellular energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

By increasing energy available in this readily accessible form, laser light is able to greatly stimulate the biological function of cells, tissue, and systems and even raise overall vital energy throughout the individual. “Bio” stimulation = Life stimulation!

I am sure you felt like this before – just as you plan your goal, your resistance creeps in and all sorts of other emotions and feelings based on past events, failures, comments of others, your long haul of hard work. All your obstacles and lack of self-belief come out and plague you. You are not sure if you can pass that exam, deliever that speech, have enough courage to deliever that presentation, etc.

You are smart, capable, passionate about what you do. What is the problem? Emotions – anger, fear, frustration, and others cloud the perception and stop you from doing your best and achieving what you need.

We have been supporting patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and during post-therapy recovery.Typically cancer patients undergoing Western medicine treatments experience a number of side effects such as nausea, pains, lack of energy, insomnia, digestive disturbances, anxiety.

Acupuncture can help boost immune system, calm the mind, relieve side-effects of nausea and pain, and help recover better from chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We also discuss diet and life style adjustments conducive to good recovery.Weekly treatments are recommended until the chemotherapy and radiotherapy is finished.

We work with you based on your chemotherapy/radiotherapy schedule and your personal preferences to help you have the best possible support.Traditional Chinese Medicine understands pain as a blockage. When the blockage dissolves so does the pain.

Acupuncture and other modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine work on various types of blockages and help strengthen the body’s self-healing and self-regulating mechanisms to promote healing and pain relief.

We have been assisting patients with back pain, headaches and migraines, pains as a result of injuries and car accidents, post-operative pains, visceral pains – abdominal, menstrual pains.A course of treatments is recommended based on the duration and severety of the pain.

There are many reasons for not sleeping properly. Among them are factors of work, life style and the condition of health. We work on understanding your personal situation and on helping you adjust diet, life style and help you improve your health to get quality sleep.

Why is quality sleep important? Between the hours of 11pm and 3am our body is regenerating, repairing itself and detoxing. If we miss out on this important self-maintenance time, we become run down, our internal organs stop generating energy properly and lose their proper functioning.

With quality of sleep your energy and happiness levels will naturally go up.Traditional Chinese Medicine looks at excess weight as a result of multiple imbalances in the body, requiring healing through treatments, exercise, diet and lifestyle adjustment.

When the internal organs start working better the result is weight loss and a whole range of other positive changes. We work with patients in a comprehensive way by proving a treatment plan which includes Qigong exercises, diet and lifestyle information.
