Disks are 12,300 gauss grade 35 nickel-plated neodymium. Magnets can be stacked to increase the magnetic field strength and penetration depth.
Warning: While all magnets will attract steel, iron or other magnetic surfaces, neodymium and ceramic block magnets are very powerful and should not be worn near any potentially hazardous locations such as hot cook tops, ovens, electrical boxes, etc. They should also not be worn while operating industrial machinery, electric or pneumatic tools, etc. Exercise caution when working with individual magnets. If magnets are close to each other or to a steel/iron surface they will "fly" together rapidly and can cause injury to hands and fingers.
Magnetic Field Viewing Film
This film is used to identify the configuration of magnetic fields and the location of magnets prior to cast removal The magnetic poles appear as dark areas on the film. With multi-pole magnets the light areas indicate where the north and south poles meet to define the configuration of the magnetic pattern.
The laminated card size is approximately 2 ¼” x 3 3/4" with a viewing area of 2" x 1 3/4".
