Essential Oils Lemon
Citrus limonium As a massage oil lemon can have a very stimulating effect on the circulation, and seems to have the ability to stimulate the body’s own immune system. Therefore, it is frequently used to treat circulatory problems and respiratory ailments such as asthma, bronchitis and catarrh. As a digestive aid, lemon can have a calming effect on dys pepsia. As a natural cosmetic, lemon has an astringent and toning effect. CAUTION :
It is generally safe but should not be used prior to exposure to sunlight.
Marjoram (Sweet)
Origanum marjorana Marjoram can be extremely effective in reducing the pain and swelling of muscular damage, bruises and sprains, and arthritis. It has an extremely hypnotic effect, which is useful in inducing sleep and calming emotions, especially when used in the bath. It can also be effective in menstrual problems. Marjoram is also a popular treatment for colds and coughs, bronchitis and asthma, and has a carminative and antispasmodic action on colic, constipation and flatulence. CAUTION :

Melissa officinalis Melissa is used in the treatment of respiratory disorders, nausea, indigestion and skin disorders. It is said to regulate menstruation and fertility, and is helpful in the treatment of anxiety and depression because of its revitalizing properties. It also relieves wasp and bee stings and aids their healing. The British Herbal Pharmacopoeia recommends it for flatulent dyspepsia, neurasthenia and depressive illness. CAUTION :
It has caused occasional sensitization and dermal irritations and is therefore best used in low concentrations. Rarely stocked commercially, most melissa oils are blends and should be labeled so.
